How to Download Facebook Reels Without a Watermark
Reels are the fastest-moving content on Facebook — and the easiest to lose. The clip you loved this morning can be impossible to find tonight. The good news: any public Reel can be saved as a clean MP4 file, in its original quality, with no watermark stamped on top — and you don't need to install anything.
Why downloaded Reels sometimes have a watermark
Facebook itself does not add watermarks to Reels. Watermarks appear when a Reel was re-uploaded from another platform (a TikTok logo, for example) or when you save it with an app that stamps its own branding on the video. A direct downloader like ours grabs the exact file Facebook serves — so what you save is what the creator uploaded, nothing added.
Step 1 — Copy the Reel link
Open the Reel and tap the Share arrow, then Copy link. This works the same in the Facebook app, in a mobile browser and on desktop. The link usually looks like facebook.com/reel/….
Step 2 — Paste it into the Reels downloader
Go to our Facebook Reels downloader, paste the link and press Download. In a few seconds you'll see the Reel's thumbnail and every available quality.
Step 3 — Save the MP4
Pick the quality you want and the file downloads directly from Facebook's servers — original vertical resolution, no cropping, no watermark, no quality loss.
Tips for the best result
- Choose HD when offered — Reels are often available in 1080p even when the feed plays them compressed.
- Keep the sound — the MP4 includes the original audio track; if you only want the audio, use Convert to MP3 instead.
- Private Reels can't be saved — only publicly visible Reels are supported, by design.
Respect the creator
Save Reels for offline viewing, editing your own compilations, or archiving your own content. Re-posting someone else's Reel as your own — with or without a watermark — is not okay and can violate copyright.
