Copy the link of an Instagram Reel, video or photo post, paste it into the box above and press Download. The tool finds the file Instagram itself streams for that post and hands it to you as it is: an MP4 with sound for a video, the full-size picture for a photo, and every item of a carousel. It works in the browser on a phone or a computer, with nothing to install and no Instagram login.
What you can save from Instagram
Reels, videos in feed posts (older IGTV videos included), single photos, and carousel posts that mix photos and videos — from public accounts. A good test: if the post opens in a browser without logging in, its link works here.
Stories, Highlights and posts from private accounts are not offered. Instagram shows those only to signed-in accounts that are allowed to see them, and this site never signs in to Instagram, so it cannot reach them.
The quality you get
Instagram keeps one ready-made MP4 for each video, with the picture and the sound in the same file, and that is the file you receive. For a Reel it is usually 720 × 1280 — Instagram’s 720p. Instagram’s app can play sharper versions, but it assembles them while streaming from separate picture and sound tracks, so no single file of that quality exists to save.
Nothing is converted, compressed again or stretched to look bigger. Photos come at the largest size Instagram stores for the post.
No watermark added, no app, no login
The file is passed on exactly as Instagram serves it, so nothing is added to the picture. That is the difference from the Download option inside Instagram’s own app, which stamps its logo and the account name onto a Reel. A video that already carried another app’s logo when it was posted keeps it: that mark is part of the picture, and no downloader can take it off.
You never need an Instagram account here, and this site never asks for one. Treat any downloader that asks for your Instagram password as a warning sign.
Saving Instagram videos on iPhone
Use Safari. When you press Download, the iPhone saves the video in the Files app, in the Downloads folder. To move it to Photos, open it in Files, tap the share button and choose Save Video. A photo is saved the same way, with Save Image.
Saving on Android or a computer
On Android, Chrome and most other browsers put the file in the Downloads folder, and the gallery shows it a few seconds later. On a computer it lands in your usual download folder. The file name is a long code Instagram gave the file; rename it to anything you like without affecting the video.
Posts with several photos and videos
For a carousel, paste the post’s link once. Every photo and video in it is listed with its own Download button, so you can keep all of them or only the ones you want.
When an Instagram link will not work
A link fails when the post is not public: an account set to private, a Story or a Highlight, a post that was deleted or archived, or one Instagram limits to certain countries or ages. To check, open the link in a private browser window: if Instagram asks you to log in, this tool cannot reach it either, and the message under the box says so.
Using saved videos fairly
A saved video is yours to watch offline, keep for reference or use in your own private projects. It still belongs to the person who made it: ask before posting it anywhere else, credit the creator when you do, and never present someone else’s video as your own.
